Author Biography

Samoan Author, Blogger and Writer of Pacific Stories. I am the author of five books and the blogger of "Sleepless in Samoa'. I write stories about strong, vibrant Pacific women ( and the tattooed men brave enough to love them)- contemporary stories inspired by our Polynesian mythology and a touch of X-Men comics. I'm also a teacher, demented Domestic Goddess, book addict and maker of culinary delights and disasters - when I'm not stressing over being the mother/slave to Five Fabulous children that I somehow helped to create. (It's a wonder I ever get any writing done with this rabble-rousing lot around...) In my ideal world, I wouldn't need to sleep.Ever. I would just stick my finger in a light socket and get a boost of energy whenever I got tired. But nobody else but me would have such superpowers. No. My favourite time of day is when everybody is fed, bathed and ASLEEP! Then it's just me. In a silent house that breathes of peace and reflection.Leaving me free to read. Write. Roam the internet. Eat Doritos. Read. And just generally enjoy being alone. Sleep is highly overrated. Truly. My books: *Pacific Tsunami - Galu Afi. (With a Foreword by his Highness the Head of State of Samoa, Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Ta'isi Tupuola Tufuga Efi.) *Telesa - The Covenant Keeper (Book One in the Telesa Series) *When Water Burns (Book Two in the Telesa Series) *I am Daniel Tahi (A Companion Book Novella in the Telesa Series) *Afakasi Woman - A Collection of 24 Pieces of Short Fiction. (Winner of the 2011 USP Fiction Award.) My blog: Established in 2009. A place where a Demented Domestic Goddess goes to rant, rage, whinge and muse. Is now the world's leading Samoan 'Mommy-Blogger-Site.'
