Commencing innocently with soulmates twelve-year-old Salina and eight-year-old Julius and their carefree lives in a seaside town. However, as a teenager, Julius is triple seduced, the last while fleeing, when he stumbles saturated on to a remote oceanside cottage. Here immaculately attired Leda lives with twelve-year-old orphan, Venus. Here also, his magnetic attraction later has tragic results when two English tourists pause in their trek. Seduced now takes you back to how Leda came to live in the cottage, how Venus came to live with her, then back a hundred years to 1900 when the cottage was built from a shipwreck. Of Calypso, ultimately the sole survivor of the shipwreck, later having her olive-skinned baby taken away; her decades of living in the cottage, and the people who pass through it before and during the Great War,the 1918 ‘flu epidemic and The Depression. Returning to the present, shifting sands reveal an even older 1870 shipwreck, and from it, Leda and her young friends extract antiques. One of these friends is feisty Diana who takes up archaeology as a hobby, and learns that the 1870 shipwreck has more than antiques aboard.
